passion project
"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."
-Albert Einstein
this is a music video of an original song entitled 'dear diary' that i created with the help of some very talented friends (lucia doyle & kiley yuen)
my intention with this project is to stretch the boundaries of my creativity and showcase my music.
the imagery in this video represents a character's journey as her connection to an important person in her life is broken.
the verses represent her diary entries, and that is juxtaposed in the cinematography as it follows her life from an outsider's perspective. the chorus shows her speaking and looking directly to the viewer, and represents her own internal thoughts and battles as she tries to make sense of and overcome her challenges, and color choices mirror the character's feelings throughout the song.
is she asking the world to give her an answer her problems...or is she really asking herself?
is it better to let go of a love that hangs heavy on your heart or to keep hanging on...hoping?
